Life at Woodville

Something for every generation

Ministry at Woodville Baptist Church is not driven by programs but by people. Each ministry listed below exists because someone in our congregation felt the call to serve — and gathered others around them to make it happen.

Children's ministry activities at the church

Children's Ministry

Our children's ministry welcomes kids from nursery age through Grade 6. Sunday school runs during the 10:00 AM hour with age-appropriate lessons, crafts, and songs led by carefully screened volunteers. Every child is greeted by name and every parent is treated as a partner.

Throughout the year, we host Vacation Bible School, seasonal parties, and family-friendly service events. Children are also warmly welcomed in the main sanctuary — restlessness is not a problem here.

Youth ministry group at Woodville Baptist Church

Youth Ministry

Middle and high school students meet regularly for a mix of discussion, games, service projects, and honest conversations about faith and life. Our youth leaders create a space where teens can ask hard questions, build meaningful friendships, and discover their own gifts.

Beyond weekly meetings, our youth participate in regional retreats, summer service trips, and community volunteer opportunities right here in Kings County.

Adult Bible study small group

Adult Bible Study & Small Groups

Our adult study groups meet throughout the week in homes and at the church. Whether you enjoy verse-by-verse study, topical discussion, or exploring the intersection of faith and daily work, there is a group with a chair waiting for you.

New groups form each fall and spring. If nothing on the current list fits, tell us what you are looking for — chances are, others are too.

Worship team leading singing at the church

Worship Ministry

Music is central to how we gather. Our worship team blends beloved hymns of the faith with contemporary songs, led by volunteer musicians and vocalists who rehearse each week. Sunday worship is designed to lift the spirit, teach the heart, and invite the whole congregation into song.

Musicians and vocalists of all skill levels are invited to join — no audition required, only a willing heart and steady commitment.

Community outreach team serving meals

Community Outreach

Loving our neighbours takes many forms. Throughout the year, our outreach team organises community meals, seasonal care baskets, visits to those who are homebound, and partnerships with other churches and organisations serving the Valley.

Outreach is open to anyone — you do not need to be a member to serve alongside us. If you have a few hours a month and a willing spirit, we have a place for you.

Prayer ministry gathering

Prayer Ministry

Prayer is the quiet backbone of everything we do. Our Wednesday evening prayer gathering brings together members who lift up the needs of the congregation, the community, and the wider world. A confidential prayer chain also carries requests between meetings.

You do not need to know how to pray beautifully — you only need to show up. God does the rest.

Seniors fellowship at the church

Seniors Fellowship

Our seniors gather regularly for lunches, guest speakers, day trips, and simply good conversation. Many of our seniors have decades of history with the church and community, and their wisdom, humour, and steady presence anchor our life together.

New attendees are always welcomed — bring a friend, bring a story.
