Being part of a community means more than sharing an address. For Woodville Baptist Church, it means showing up for our neighbours — in seasons of celebration and in seasons of need. Below are some of the ways our congregation lives out that commitment across Grafton and Kings County.
Community Meals
Several times each year our fellowship hall opens for a community meal — a hot, home-cooked dinner offered freely to anyone in the surrounding area. These gatherings are especially meaningful during the colder months, when a warm meal and warmer company make a real difference. Volunteers from within and beyond the church prepare, serve, and share the meal together.
Care for Neighbours
Rural communities depend on quiet networks of care. Our members regularly check in on those who live alone, provide rides to appointments when public transit is not available, deliver meals to families welcoming a newborn or recovering from illness, and offer a listening ear to anyone who needs one.
This kind of care is not organised through elaborate programs — it happens because people notice one another. If you or someone you know could use a hand, please reach out. We may not be able to do everything, but we can almost always do something.
Seasonal Care Baskets
Around Thanksgiving and Christmas, our congregation prepares care baskets filled with pantry staples, home-baked goods, and small tokens of encouragement. These are delivered to seniors, families in transition, and neighbours whom our members know could use a lift. The goal is simple: to make sure no one in our community feels forgotten during the season of gathering.
Partnering with Local Groups
We are proud to work alongside other churches, community associations, and volunteer organisations in Kings County. From joint service projects to shared events, we believe good work is best done shoulder-to-shoulder with others who love this region.

Space for the Community
Our building has served as a gathering place for the community for many decades — hosting weddings, funerals, memorial services, community meetings, and family celebrations. If you are looking for a warm, welcoming space for a life event, please contact the church office to discuss availability.
Volunteering with Us
You do not have to be a member of Woodville Baptist Church to serve alongside us. Community meals, care baskets, seasonal events, and outreach projects are all open to volunteers from the wider community. If you have a few hours a month and a willing heart, we can find a place for you.
Prayer for Our Community
Alongside practical care, we quietly hold our community in prayer — for local leaders, for schools and healthcare workers, for farmers and small business owners, and for anyone facing hard days. If you have a prayer request, we would count it a privilege to lift it up. Requests can be shared confidentially through our contact page.
